Nearby restaurants serve food from around the world! There is Italian, Mexican, American, Japanese and much more.  The hotel also has a full-service upscale restaurant that serves a great Sunday brunch, as well as great dinners every night.  The Sunday brunch has a large buffet of tasty food for guests to enjoy.  Even people who are not guests of the hotel come by the Intercontinental for their special Sunday brunch. The eight story, one hundred sixty-six room hotel is equipped with six conference rooms.  The largest room can seat up to 650 guests.  Besides the wonderful Sunday brunch and the spacious conference rooms, the hotel also boasts of many other amenities. The Barceló Hotel is just a five-minute drive from downtown Managua.  Even though it is so close to most of the action it is located on a hill-top and has a great view overlooking the city.  The hotel’s convention center consists of three rooms that can seat up to four hundred people.  Amenities include an outdoor pool, cable television, air conditioning, wireless internet and more.  There are two restaurants osite, La Fontana Buffet Restaurant and Kyotto Japanese Restaurant.  Nearby there is the Galerias shopping mall.  Outside the mall there are a number of restaurants that specialize in all different kinds of food, from buffalo wings to seafood.  It is a great place to enjoy a good dinner, with a good atmosphere and maybe follow that with a late night movie at the theater.
